MEMBERSHIP COSTS
In order to be as transparent and open as possible about the fees associated with gymnastics classes, we have created the following guide:

Class Fees:

Cheltenham & Gloucester Gymnastics Club's class fees are collected by direct debit every month via our booking provider CoursePro.

Our classes run during term-time only (in line with Gloucestershire school term dates) and the cost is calculated for the whole year and spread across all
12 months. This allows us to keep our monthly fees as low as possible.

CGGC Annual Membership Fee:
All of our members are required to pay an annual club membership fee of £20.00. The fee is due upon joining as a regular member and renews every January. If you join us after July, your first payment will be reduced to £10.00.

British Gymnastics Membership (Insurance):
After your trial session, all gymnasts must also hold a valid British Gymnastics Membership which covers their participation insurance. This must be organised directly with British Gymnastics
before your first class as a regular member.

Please note, once you have attended a trial class, your British Gymnastics and CGGC Club Membership must be in place before you can attend regular classes. For insurance purposes, no-one is permitted to train without valid memberships.

Club Uniform:

For the safety of our gymnasts and coaches, we require all members to purchase and train in the club uniform. When you join, you will be able to purchase a full uniform kit which includes; club leotard & shorts (plus a colourful scrunchie for the girls!). The uniform costs £42.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
FAQ's
Where are you located?

Our newly renovated Gymnasium is located at Unit 5, Chancel Close, Gloucester, GL4 3SN.

Can I book a trial?

Yes! You can book a trial session here. The current cost for a trial session is £10.

Do you have parking facilities?

Our club has a small car park located in the corner of Chancel Close, there is also additional road parking on the estate. Please do not park in bays marked for other business or directly in front of our entrance.

Do you have venues in Cheltenham?

We operate out of our own dedicated facility which is currently located in Gloucester. It is easily accessible to Cheltenham via the A40 and Tewkesbury via the M5 motorway.

What equipment do you have?

Our facility is equipped with Olympic standard Women's Artistic Gymnastics apparatus, supplied by Gymnova and Tumbl-Trak. This includes FIG-approved beams, bars, vault, and a full-full size competition floor. Additionally, we have the FIG-approved 'Skakun Original Tumbling Track', which Gymnova also supplies for many World and European Championships.

Do I need to stay at the club during my child's classes?

Most parents are happy to drop off and pick up their child, though we do suggest parents of younger children remain close by for the first few weeks until they are settled. If your child cannot use the toilet on their own then you will need to stay as our coaches are not permitted to take them to the toilet.

There is a small viewing area for those that wish to stay. If the viewing area is full, you will need to wait outside until the class has finished.

Why 45-minute classes?

To maximise the time your child spends on equipment, our recreational classes are 45-minutes long, with a 15-minute gap before the next one. During this gap, our coaches set out all of the equipment needed for the next class. The break between classes also allows us to answer any questions you may have, without taking time away from the lesson.

What does my child need to wear for classes?

For the safety of our Gymnasts and coaches, Gymnasts are required to wear the club uniform.

Girls: Club leotard (shorts are also available to purchase separately)

Boys: Club leotard which includes shorts.

Long hair may become a hazard and should be tied back to avoid accidents. For further guidance, see our Code of Dress policy.

Do you have competition squads?

Yes! All competition squads are invite-only and gymnasts will be offered the opportunity to try out for a position when a space becomes available.

When do classes run?

Our class timetable can be found here.
